Agora vamos comparar com o texto escrito em março de 2009. Notem como a opinião já é outra totalmente diferente! E sabem quais são os modelos que ilustram o post original? A Ultra VW, a MJ e também a LD e a Three Straps!
Vivienne Westwood’s Anglomania Melissa Spring Summer 09
Another year, another collection signed Vivienne Westwood
for Melissa, the Plastic Dreams company! (not kidding, that’s their slogan!)
Vivienne Westwood chose to fusion Anglomania with Melissa, thus giving us not one but four different popsy designs for the Black Line collection Spring Summer 2009 from Melissa.
After the Fall-Winter 2008 Collection where she added two models (Mary Jane and Ultragirl), Vivienne Westwood came with [two] new designs for the Spring Summer 2009 collection: Lady Dragon and Three Straps. All four come in a variety of colors, fresh and trendy, all touched by the ORB, Anglomania’s brand symbol. One of this summer’s novelties, the Anglomania Three Straps was first launched in Vivienne Westwood’s Buffalo collection, Winter 82 and reappeared in the Café Society collection, Summer 94. The many shades of The Lady Dragon will be sold for $149,90 and those of Three Straps for $109,90.
Since last year, when I first wrote about Melissa and their high fashion collaborations their website has changed. In the best way possible! It’s a great initiative, helpful and insightful, something that would’ve been a world of help last year when I wrote my first article! Taking advantage of the information provided by Melissa, I’ll give you more details about their shoes and the technology used to develop their coveted products.
Melissa’s shoes are made from injected plastic. But not just any plastic! They developed a special formula in their laboratories, a formula called Melflex that enhances the elastic, impermeable and resistant features of the material used. The resulted plastic in hypoallergenic, odorless, natural and health-safe and it maintains the Melflex attributes even after being recycled. You might also be curious how they develop the imprinting technique in order to obtain those whimsical shoe-graphics: it’s all 3D, baby, it’s all 3D! The technology is called 3DB and it’s the latest in treating all types of surfaces.
Another innovation brought to the world of shoes by Melissa is Velvet Melflex. Water resistant and durable, the matte, velvet-ous finish was an undeniable success. There’s nothing stopping the plastic innovations chez Melissa. All carefully planned, orchestrated and supervised by Melissa’s creative director, Edson Matsuo (who’s an architect by formation and art professional by practice), Melissa has just started to amaze the world with their plastic dreams.
I’m not a plastic fan myself though I love a good ol’ pair of Crocs for my kids. I could only swear on plastic if my inner vegan would one day take control. However, judging by Melissa’s natural progression, I’d better get used to being vegan soon: with 400 new products/year, 176 million pairs of shoes/year through their 12 factories with 20,000 employees, Melissa thinks big. Are you ready to think Melissa?

HAHAHA!!!
HAHA! Totalmente possível!
